Patrick Stephen Brine, age 78, of Cornelia, passed away Saturday, January 02, 2010, at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following a brief illness.
Born in Woodlands Park, England on February 20, 1931, he was the son of the late George and Enna Brine. He was a mechanical engineer and enjoyed fishing and woodworking. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his son, Nicholas Mark Brine.
Surviving are his wife, Frances Mary Brine of Cornelia; daughter, Christine Janet Ramsey of Cornelia; brother, Michael Brine of Australia; brother-in-law, William George Clarke of Canada; two grandchildren, Megan Christine Ramsey and Christopher Stephen Ramsey.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 am Thursday, January 07, 2010, from the McGahee-Griffin & Stewart Chapel with Rev. Glenn Vernon officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home following the services. In lieu of flowers, the family request that contributions be made to The American Cancer Society, c/o Lena McGahee, 170 Thomas Street, Apt. A, Cornelia, GA 30531.
